This kit is a reissued kit, so you know about how the plastic looks. I'm going to do a little vehical research so i can wire the engine and add a little detail.

Whoa, I bought a 1/16 Lindberg Stutz Racer about 4 months ago.

I'm going to build it as a gift (some day). I opened it up just to see what kind of work I was in for. I haven't built a Lindberg kit since I was in elementary school. Needless to say at least 75-85% of the kit will have to be scratch built just to bring it up to today's standards. Hope yours isn't that bad!

"HAHAHA"  Cheesy It's is that bad, I was planing on jumping on it to see how fast I could get it built, but to make her stand out I'm going to have to do much of the same work as you. Right now I'm getting all the photos and info on the car and paint ideas. I've looked at that same type of car as yours., but I've never built any thing any 1\16 scale models. I have built a 1\20th scale F1 race car. Well about this car, I'm planning on wiring the engine, with the hood folded open showing the engine bat work. It's sad that lindberg chose to show this side of the car as the othere side shows the three (3) exhaust pipes protruding from the engines side panel or engine cover. That's why I like this car. I think it looks so much cooler than any 1929 US car.  This car just has a so much style.

Yeah I'm going to show the hood open, too. That's gonna require almost the entire front of the car from the firewall to the radiator to be scratch built. It has a rudimentary engine in the kit, but it sucks. I did find all of 2 reference photos for that engine, out of a 1916 Bearcat.

Man you have a lot of research before you start. Here's a site.
http://www.supercars.net/cars/2218.html

Man it's hard to find photo of the 1914  Stutz race car and the stock version's engine bays'. Seeing that you have some, I hope they will help you out. It's eazy for me to find photos of the out side body of the car as well as it's engine bay. Lat me know when your going to start so I can jump on my build at the same time your working on yours Cheesy Wink.
